In "One night with the King" What was supposed to happen after Esther reads for the king?

So she reads him the scroll then spins it off into a love story but
then she goes to a fancy room fit for a king or queen and lays down
then the king kisses her on the forehead? Why was she in the room on
the bed were they supposed to sleep toghether orrrrrr What? Please
