I had just finished learning all the positions of the minor pentatonic
and was moving on to major when i came across something that threw me.
the first position major pentatonic is the same as the second position
minor pentatonic. correct me if i am wrong please but based on how i
learned the positions the two are the same. how is this so ? and how
am i meant to know which key i am playing in ? if i am playing this
scale am i playing both the first position major pent and the second
position minor pent ? does that mean i can play that scale in either
the key of A or G and it will still sound ok ?
